By connecting my concept to Ratatouille and The Lost Food Project, I realised the importance of appreciating every ingredient and rethink what we call "waste". I enjoyed the challenge of expanding my idea and creating something new. Overall,  this task increased my enthusiasm for sustainability, increased my awareness of the foods I eat, and gave me more confidence to create original ideas with a positive message.  But at the same time, I also faced some problem. One of it is finalising my products. Not only I need to make sure the products are attractive, but also aligns with my theme and concept. Apart from that, I also need ...

At first, I struggled to make the drink both healthy and visually unique. I wanted a magical purple look without using artificial colors. After some research, I found that butterfly pea flower turns purple with citrus, which was the perfect natural solution. Another challenge was how to connect the product with the social message. I solved this by adding QR codes and awareness messages to each item, so people can learn about food waste and Th...

Through research and brainstorming, I learned to connect creative inspiration from the movie Ratatouille with real-world issues like food waste and hunger. By building the concept around “BeanKind,” I discovered how storytelling and design can raise awareness for The Lost Food Project’s mission in a meaningful way. Creating the product mind maps also showed me the importance of thinking through every detail. This process taught me how to merge creativity with purpose and that even small ideas like beans can make a big impact when c...

Personal Reflection : Coming up with something creative and innovative has proven a challenge. But after a while, I decided to follow a "Eat your food! Or else..." concept. Of course, the concept itself relates to the NGO selected, which is The Lost Food Project whom which aims to reduce food wastage in Malaysia. After a bit of self debating,  I decided to take two approaches with my products here. The first is the "threatening" approach (not really), where we sell little key chains with something adorably scary and recognisable as the model.  This resulted in the creation of the "Mimegg" which is based off mimics in fantasy. The punchline here is that not eating your eggs will cause the egg to turn into something terrifying. And of course, it has to be eye catching. The second is the more "tame" approach, where by simply selling something cheap, delicious and approachable, it encourages less food wastage. Shaker fries are a good approach to th...

We will also apply relevant physics concepts to enhance the efficiency and sturdiness of our design. We will also conduct a trial run beforehand to ensure that the egg remains unbroken during the official testing on Monday (14 July 2025). Individual Report: Sylvia Wong  Concept Mind Map Progress :   The concept mind map began with the central theme of “BeanKind,” inspired by the film Ratatouille , which celebrates how even the smallest, most overlooked ingredients can create something extraordinary. The idea developed around using m...

Moreover, their mission provides us the opportunity to create a creative campaign that encourages young people like us to participate in sustainable solutions, and at the same time, raise awareness.  Game plan as a group: We have all agreed that each member will come out with a booth concept, design a team logo, and come up with at least two products to sell. We will then review all the ideas in the upcoming meeting and collectively decide on the most suitable ones to move forward with. Individual Report:...
